For Surrey gardener and landscaper Liam, the journey behind Social Living Co started after losing his dad suddenly two years ago.
Like many people experiencing loss, he found himself feeling lost for a while and unsure what direction he wanted life to take next.
Earlier this year, he spent some time travelling, giving himself the chance to reset mentally and think properly about his future. When he returned home, he knew he wanted to build something positive for himself and create a fresh start.
That became the beginning of Social Living Co, a Surrey gardening and landscaping business focused on helping people transform and enjoy their outdoor spaces again.
Liam says his goal is simple, to bring outdoor spaces back to life and create clean, enjoyable environments with a real social aspect again.
What I personally liked about Liam’s story is that he is documenting the full journey of building the business from scratch, from buying his first van and tools to taking on his first jobs and growing the company over time.
It feels very genuine and relatable at a time when many people are trying to rebuild, reset, or create something for themselves.

Social Living Co currently offers:• Garden maintenance• Garden clearances• Hedge cutting and reductions• Lawn care and restoration• Jet washing• Fencing repairs• Landscaping projects• General outdoor improvements
The before-and-after transformations already shared online look fantastic, with gardens and outdoor spaces being completely refreshed and brought back to life.
Liam says no job is too small and that he takes pride in treating every property with care and attention.
To celebrate launching the business, Social Living Co is currently offering 50% off the first hour of labour for new customers.
It’s always lovely to see local people building something positive from difficult experiences, and I think many people across Surrey will enjoy following Liam’s journey as the business continues to grow.
